Industrial Metalwork

Industrial Metalwork

Coughlan Engineering (Tullamore) Ltd has approximately 50 years experience serving diverse industrial-sector customers in the areas of pharmaceutical, energy generation, distribution, precast concrete manufacturing and inland waterways. The Company was originally set up in the 1970s and the action in the Irish midlands, at the time, was in the extraction of peat, quarrying and energy generation.

Fittingly, the majority of our work in the early years came from Bord na Móna, the Electricity Supply Board and Killeshal Precast Concrete to whom we were the main supplier of moulds. As the economy evolved and the company’s reach extended nationally, we became more prevalent in the areas of retail, distribution, pharmaceutical and alcohol distillation. Typically, the industrial metalwork solutions we now provide are ladders, platforms, guardrails and enclosures around plant, air handling and manufacturing equipment. We also provide a comprensive range of edge protection solutions, from decorative shop front protectors to lamp post protectors, column protectors, dock leveller and loading bay protectors. These solutions range from the decorative at front of house (usually in aluminium chequer plate or stainless steel tube), to the truly industrial at back of house, including safety bollards, secure mesh enclosures and Kee-Klamp guardrails. We offer a full design, manufacture and fit service.

Any structural metalwork is CE certified to EN 1090 in all EU and UK jurisdictions. Because we are a bespoke manufacturer of industrial metalwork, we work to client requirements and offer free site visits and surveys so all items are made to fit perfectly, first time. Additionally, we offer gate automation services through our automation partners and manage the coordination of trades to ensure a single source of responsibility.
