We are not specialists in the erection of structural steel sheds and frames; we are happy to point you in the right direction if this is what you require. Coughlan Engineering is the home of the patented Qwik-Fix™ Masonry Support and Brick Support system. We do not believe in, nor provide, “standard” stainless steel masonry, brick and stone support brackets. In our experience, all site conditions are different and require a site survey by the manufacturer. We prefer to deal in low-volume, high-precision systems and to this end we carry out our own site survey, take responsibility for site-specific line load calculations, sign collateral warranties, install and offer an comprehesive handover pack. In short, we take full responsibility and in doing so we create niche value for the contractor. This approach extends to all structural metalwork, wind posts and brackets for stone facade cladding. Whereas most market incumbents try to add value by mechanically fixing brick slip soffits to the underside of their masonry support systems, as a stainless steel fabrication specialist we can offer brick supports systems with decorative brush-polished, mirror-polished or powdercoated soffits.

With 320-Ton CNC sheet metal folding capacity, we can manufacture bespoke heavy duty brackets in galvanised steel and stainless steel. All of our systems are thermally isolated from the structure via bespoke and independently certified thermal break plates. We stock thermal break plates in sheet form and offer a custom waterjet cutting service to fellow fabricators on thermal break plates in various thicknesses. Custom thermal break plates are offered with full certification and data sheets. Furthermore, Coughlan Engineering is the home of Qwik-Fix™ Passive Wall Ties a structurally superior and BRE-Certified glass fibre reinforced composite wall tie and precast concrete window sill support. Qwik-Fix™ Passive Wall Ties are offered in sizes to accommodate masonry wall cavity widths ranging from 125mm to 200mm.
